2 GB of RAM.
Enough for eight to ten people on Paper with light plugins.
Free Minecraft hosting that keeps running. No queue, no ads, no daily limit. You enter an email, the rest runs.
Started. 44.7 seconds, then the world is there.
03:12, nobody around. The server keeps running anyway.
09:40, still nobody. No sleep, no queue.
16:05. Twenty hours idle. Nobody had to keep it awake.
18:22, kelpdiver is here. And the server was already awake.
Six well-known free hosts, each with the plan detail that matters. All read on 22 September 2026 on the provider’s own site, not on a comparison portal. We lose to two of them, and it says so right here. Plans change; when in doubt, what the provider says is what counts.
Aternos says itself that it is funded entirely by advertising and detects ad blockers to ask you to switch them off. If you don’t want to see ads, it’s the wrong place.

The free server has 1 GB of RAM and ten player slots. The four-hour limit Minehut was long known for has been gone since 6 July 2026.

One credit per GB per hour, plus an automatic shutdown when the last player leaves. Running around the clock for free is not part of the deal.

8 GB and 24/7, but four concurrent players, 2 GB of disk and no mods — plugins yes, mods only on the paid plan. Once a month you have to confirm that you still need the server.

The free plan lists 6 GB of RAM and 30 GB of SSD. We found no player cap on the pricing page. On numbers, we lose here.
scalacube.com · checked 22 September 2026
Its own site says “free, forever, no time limit” and lists unlimited player slots. We could not find a catch we can back up, so we don’t claim one.

What we don’t claim: that we’re the only ones or ahead everywhere. ScalaCube and FalixNodes give more on paper, OuiHeberg and intracex.de keep running too. Our difference from the big names isn’t a number: no ads, no credits, no keep-alive. You enter an email, and the server runs.
Plurra is the free way into MRMedia, our paid hosting. If you outgrow it here, you move there. If you don’t, you stay free. That’s the whole math. You are not the product.
If you want to run a big modpack or twenty people, you need more. Then MRMedia is the right place, not here.
You create it, you restore it. Nothing runs on its own at night. You can download your world at any time.
Only a real player connecting counts. After 21 days you get a warning email. Joining once is enough.
We only put up as many servers as the machine can really carry. When it’s full, it’s full, and we’ll say so.
That’s all we want to know. The confirmation link arrives right away.
Paper, Vanilla or NeoForge. Old worlds from 1.7.10 onwards keep working.
Copy it, drop it in the group chat, join.
Yes. Plurra costs nothing and is backed by MRMedia, our paid hosting. We don’t sell data and we don’t put ads in your game.
No. There is no auto-sleep, no queue and no daily limit. The server keeps running, even if nobody joins for days.
Only if really nobody plays any more. The only thing that counts as activity is a real player connecting. Not a panel login, not a dashboard visit. After 21 days without a connection you get a warning email, after 30 days the server is deleted. Joining briefly resets the clock.
Yes. Paper plugins and NeoForge mods both work. We scan uploaded files for known malware, otherwise we stay out of it.
No, and we don’t claim to be. OuiHeberg and intracex.de keep running too. What sets us apart from the big names is not that we can do 24/7, but that there is no second cap behind it.
Almost. This page, sign-up, the dashboard and the emails are in English. The terms of service and the privacy policy exist in German only, and the German version is the binding one. The servers are in Germany.
It’s 22:12 on the third evening, and the server has been running for 50 hours. Enter your email, pick a version, copy the address. Plurra does the rest.
